Fusion 360 Tutorial for Beginners
Fusion 360 can confuse and most CAD tutorials can bemuse, so at the request of my YouTube audience, I made an easy, step by step tutorial, with the emphasis on learning by doing (see the tutorial video HERE). The video creates a fun Mandalorian Coin that can be 3D printed at the end of the tutorial, but even if that isn't your thing, following along you'll pick up on Fusions way of doing things and quickly begin to acquire the CAD skills you require to tackle your chosen projects. Deliberately there's nothing demanding or technical here... it's just a step by step build, giving you the confidence to use the tools you need and be able to ignore the many distractions you don't.
Free Download Canvas
To complete the tutorial, a "Canvas" is required and you can download that freely by following these simple instructions:
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Hover your mouse cursor over the Mythosaur image
2. Click the Right mouse button
3. Choose Save Image As
With the Canvas downloaded, you can follow along with the tutorial (below).
Fusion 360 is free for non-commercial use, making it an excellent resource for amateurs interested in learning CAD. Whilst this tutorial is very basic, taking the viewer from literally zero knowledge, whilost enabling them to produce a 3D object that can be printed, it does provide the viewer with useful insight into what can be achieved using this highly versatile software.
