Was a good beginner resin printer, at the time. At the current date, however, there are better and cheaper alternatives which I would reccomend over it, though still Anycubic. | Photon | no |
My first resin printer. Bought used with worn-out Z rails. Impossible to keep them adjusted tightly so there is a lot of Z wobble. It would benefit from a linear rail conversion. Sweet flip-up lid, built like a tank, but an older RGB screen with a low-power UV source and a small build volume. | Photon | no |
The specs are sub par by now and the leveling of the buildplate is a pain in the ass. Leveling was my no1 reason to get another printer. | Photon | no |
This printer is essentially outdated and there is no real reason to buy one other than build quality, which while good due to an all metal construction, is actually quite hindering for repairs. In addition, the original motherboard has several firmware issues and the z rod is poorly made | Photon | no |
Great printer for beginners to learn Resin 3D printing. You can move to bigger higher quality printer at a later date. As a entry level printer it still produces far better quality prints than FDM printers. | Photon | yes |
The photon is starting to fall out of relevancy with a 2K LCD screen, the new mono's 4K printers do not compare, but as a starter machine in 2020 it was a good intro. I just replaced the LCD last night due to a piece of cured resin punching a hole in the screen. Will most likely switch to Elegoo next | Photon | yes |
Cheap, effective, affordable consumables, lasted years, well worth it | Photon | yes |
It's an old printer, and i wouldn't recommend you buy an old Photon today, but I would've recommended it back then! | Photon | yes |
Very basic and quite slow | Photon | yes |
no problems with the original photon it still has its original screen | Photon | yes |
muito dificil de calibrar | Photon | yes |
Really reliable I have had it 4 years now. prints occasionally fail, but it seams more like user error or resin temperature. really pleased with this model, I considered upgrading to the mono, but the photon is sufficient for me at the moment | Photon | yes |
Good little printer to start resin printing | Photon | yes |
While the printer is great I annot recommend Anycubic based on their customer support. If you do buy one do so on Amazon or other service that has customers protections, do not buy it from them directly or use PayPal. | Photon D2 | no |
Prints on this printer are incredibly detailed and sharp. No rounding or smoothing of small details visible here! | Photon D2 | yes |
It is fine | Photon D2 | yes |
I would love more help with the settings... There doesnt seem a lot of infos for eco resin and anycubic, allthough they sell it... | Photon D2 | yes |
This printer was very difficult to tune and calibrate when I initially acquired it, due to lack of profiles in Lychee. Chitubox default settings for this model were also sub-optimal early in this printer's release. Once Lychee supported it, things have been much easier. | Photon D2 | yes |
I've been using the D2 nearly nonstop for about 2 months now, in that time I've only had a handful of print failures, all either user error or model issues. After probably 60ish prints I've only recently releveled the bed, and likely didn't need to. I cannot recommend the printer enough. | Photon D2 | yes |
my first Resin Printer, and I can only compare it to my Filamentprinter (Anycubic Viper) | Photon D2 | yes |
the test print came out flawless and mind blowing everything i tried afterwards was just sludge in the tray after a few days of learning it is clear the default settings in anycubic's software are not remotely close for the resin recommended for the D2 the only thing they teach you is bed level | Photon D2 | yes |
Stunning results. Construction seems a little budget but the results are there. | Photon D2 | yes |
Great printer for a beginner. Very good quality of prints. No complaints with build quality. Very happy with it | Photon D2 | yes |
The print quality is outstanding, and initial setup is fairly simple. | Photon D2 | yes |
Printing made ridiculously easy. Because of DLP the exposure range is much larger than on an MSLA (LCD) printer. | Photon D2 | yes |
Really easy to use, just not sure how to dial in anti-aliasing with small layer heights | Photon D2 | yes |
Amazing details. Layer lines are nearly invisible to the naked eye on 0.01mm. Details really pop and relatively fast prints. Just wish the build plate was a little bit larger. | Photon D2 | yes |
I am glad I did my research ahead of time and went for the more expensive D2. It has been an incredible machine and absolutely worth it in quality of print. | Photon D2 | yes |
The included slicer is not great, but it now works with other mainstream slicers, so no worries. The print quality is astonishing and I would recommend this to anyone who wants super high quality prints right out of the box. I can also recommend the Anycubic "tough" resin - it is great! | Photon D2 | yes |
The only thing that is detrimental to the quality and user experience is the plastic default vat, which breaks down quickly (around 3 months of heavy everyday use). The pre-framed FEP is expensive, so buying a 3rd party aluminum vat is a must. Other than that, amazing print quality and build quality | Photon D2 | yes |
Touchscreen feels a tad flaky or sensitive. It was really easy to accidentally set the language to Chinese. | Photon D2 | yes |
Two reasons for not recommending this printer 1. If you forget to screw the vat to the machine, the machine can be broken 2. Propreritary FEP, not possible to use off the shelf replacements | Photon M3 | no |
The printer could be good if the software worked. WHICH IT DOESN"T. And the very uneven exposure can also cause big problems which they should at least warn users for. (Like standard supported mineature prints will fail on this machine) | Photon M3 | no |
For the price to print quality this is a very good printer for the price. This is my second AnyCubic printer and can't fault them for what they print vs price of the printer. I use AnyCubic Resin and AnyCubic Slicer to keep things simple and it works very well. | Photon M3 | yes |
Lid does not sit right and resin drips on it from build plate at max height. I also wish that the USB and power were on the front and not the side. | Photon M3 | yes |
not had to long but all issues are just me learning resin printers. only wish it had a way of seeing the vat was lifting off the screen. ya left those screws for vat off 2 times now lol. | Photon M3 | yes |
I have a lot of experience using 3D printers so I know how to properly slice and the anycubic slicer is garbage. I end up doing supports in prusa slicer then slice in lychee. Beginners might have trouble just using anycubic software. | Photon M3 | yes |
Most of the problems were obviously me doing something wrong | Photon M3 | yes |
Very easy to use beginner printer. Emptying the tray always spills some of the resin. Why don't they develop something that allows me to pour the resin back to the bottle easily? | Photon M3 | yes |
Solid printer - some dumb things like the lid can be hit by the print bed and drip resin onto it. Would be nice for these inexpensive printer companies to add quality of life features. Also dumb that anycubic limits slicer use to only certain ones | Photon M3 | yes |
Other than the stupid curved lid, its great. | Photon M3 | yes |
Good budget printer, as always would like a larger build volume. Wish they had better profiles for different resin types that just work. | Photon M3 | yes |
At this stage in the game, I think all manufacturers should include a flex plate system with the machine. Makes print removal so much easier. | Photon M3 | yes |
This M3 has been a pleasure to use. Excellent print quality. No problem recommending this printer. | Photon M3 | yes |
It's an amazing entry level 3d resin printer, perhaps the best. I've had it for a couple of months by now and I'm pleased with it, but truth be told, I'd be happier if it had a bigger tray. | Photon M3 | yes |
Really good starter printer. easy to use and great quality prints. | Photon M3 | yes |
Large printer with average details but is cheaply made and for the price would recommend the Elegoo Jupiter before this printer. | Photon M3 Max | no |
Quality is sub par for price and model. No wifi even know mid tier has wifi. Led is under powered for larger screen compared to mid tier. Led power cannot be modified like mid tier. | Photon M3 Max | no |
Was great when it was working. Tray is a little shallow, filler is problematic. | Photon M3 Max | no |
Print process is slow, and some print failure from time to time. No issue at all with my previous mono x. Failures are expensive in resin with a m3 max... if i knew that, i probably go for an elegoo | Photon M3 Max | no |
Great size and good prints | Photon M3 Max | yes |
Almost no size limitations, nice details, very good auto feed feature. Firmware doesn't support UV Tools Multiple exposure (for Resin calibration) or variable print height though | Photon M3 Max | yes |
Its a good reliable printer over all. Its USB can be a bit finicky, and its slower than I'd expect to print, but its been fairly reliable so far. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
Anycubic's auto refill system is very nice for large prints. It is designed for Anycubics 1kg bottles. The large print area entices people to print large models which translates to lots or resin. Like buying a an expensive car, calculate the operating costs if you are thinking of buying this printer | Photon M3 Max | yes |
I bought a second one because it's simply the best value for money when doing large prints or multiple parts simultaneously. Reliable but print speed is slow, screen is awfully small with tiny text and bad touch responsiveness. Lacks WiFi. Even so, I'd still recommend but not as a first printer. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
So far a decent build. Even having the machine open is not that intimidating. I'd like to be able to replace the LED matrix someday but I don't know if they sell that part or not. It seems almost every other expendable part is available to buy separate. This is my first 3D printer though. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
This is my first 3D resin printer and the only issue I have so far is the slicing software with adding supports, auto does not add enough and manual is not always easy, you only find out 7 hours and 250ml of resin later, so put in more support than you think is needed | Photon M3 Max | yes |
With no background in 3D printing, the Photon M3 Max was very easy to use and understand. The prints came out amazing and haven't had any issues with the printer. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
It works very well. Only drawbacks I really have are just general large resin drawbacks. If the part doesn't stick, it's a lot of vat to drain, etc. It's mechanically solid, hasn't glitches out or behaved in any unexpected way, at all. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
For the price point with size and quality of prints I'd definitely recommend it. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
For an experienced user, I would as they would know when a problem arises and is a bit hard to maintain but since the customer service is good nothing should be a problem | Photon M3 Max | yes |
Great printer, easy to use but resin filler problematic | Photon M3 Max | yes |
My Anycubic M3 Max arrived DOA with multiple problems was the build plate arm not being properly machined to secure the build plate, to the FEP not being properly tuned causing initial print errors with prints sticking to the FEP. Great printer once problems are all solved. | Photon M3 Max | yes |
$ for $ the best printer at its size with a amazing front lid system for people who have dozens of machines mounted in racks | Photon M3 Max | yes |
It's a good and well priced 3D printer. However I would recommend getting an 8k printer now that they are available. | Photon M3 Plus | yes |
a | Photon M3 Plus | yes |
Nice Details, great auto feed feature, fast | Photon M3 Plus | yes |
I've put 'no' above as I can't recommend something I never used, clearly. I've just taken delivery of their M5S, though, so we'll see how that works out. Also got a Uniformation on your (and others) recommendations, so fingers crossed! | Photon M3 Premium | no |
Loud and hard to get dialed in. | Photon M3 Premium | no |
Great printer and good quality prints. Easy to handle. No trouble till 2 months | Photon M3 Premium | yes |
I love the metal base and the z screw and rails. The build quality is excellent. Once I had the resin and slicer settings dialed in, it just worked. I ordered and extra build plate, vat, some nFeps and screen protectors directly from Anycubic. They were all reasonably priced. | Photon M3 Premium | yes |
This is an excellent, if very large, printer. Unfortunately, leveling the build plate has been quite an ordeal for me. I had to use an external flat piece of aluminium plating between the LCD and build plate, and it took several tries, but once it was truly level the printer behaves very well. | Photon M3 Premium | yes |
Robust, steady, High quality, a workhorse. | Photon M3 Premium | yes |
Printer was larger and heavier than expected, required significant reengineering of workspace and enclosure to fit printer and associated parts | Photon M3 Premium | yes |
The issue I had came from a fep tear so it was user error, however despite anycubica lack of support, doing maitenence on the machine is quite easy and straight forward, the nfep film and dual z axis lets you unlock insane print speed with good detail as well | Photon M3 Premium | yes |
Great starting 3d printer. Very cheap (bought it for 100 euro new) and is a great introduction in 3d printing. Noisy. Some times the prints have issues and the auto support on Anycubic 's software definitely doesn't work. Despite these issues a definite recommendation at that price. | Photon Mono | yes |
Very happy with purchuse, no issues even after over 2 years of printing on this cheap little machine. | Photon Mono | yes |
with the issues fixed it is outstanding in performance for its price | Photon Mono | yes |
The resin tray touches the front of the cover which makes it a bit annoying to get the cover back on but otherwise it's an absolutely fantastic printer. I don't have another to compare it to but it's done everything I've ever asked of it. | Photon Mono | yes |
basic but simple to use and so far after 18 months use it has been completely reliable | Photon Mono | yes |
For the price, it's way better than my QIDI Shadow S5.5 | Photon Mono | yes |
this was my first 3d printer and its been a dream. ya it only 2k but when I got it that was the thing. lol. its served me well. The one thing that I ran into a lot that frustrated me was the small build plate. I know I've pushed this thing to the max many times and any failures were all my fault. | Photon Mono | yes |
It's simple and works, but I don't like the grid array in the Mono, I gave it away and the recipient is very happy with it. | Photon Mono | yes |
My only problem with the printer is the resin vat and the fep sheets. But aftermarket vats are cheap | Photon Mono | yes |
Good enough for entry level | Photon Mono | yes |
It is simple and effective, resolutions have increased, but it is reliable and easy to use. | Photon Mono | yes |
Very noisy unit that could be quiter if better materials were used in the plastic housing on the base. I would give much higher marks to Anycubic if they ran anti aliasing in a normal way that slicers other than Photon Workshop could process. | Photon Mono | yes |
The printer itself is amazing, but unless you can deal with problems yourself, get another printer from another brand, forget customer support. | Photon Mono 4K | no |
I would recommend because I'm not happy that the printer doesn't support antialiasing which for me is important (many flat angled surfaces on my prints). The menu has bad UX, small and not accurate touch areas. No file sorting option (new files always at the end of the file list) | Photon Mono 4K | no |
The printer works fine for the most part. The ui screen sucks. And their customer support is the worse I have ever seen from a company. | Photon Mono 4K | no |
I did only use the basic resin supplied with the printer. I mainly print mechanical parts and find them sometime bent or distorded. I am a very beginner so I may not be a good exemple. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
I have had only good experiances with this as my first 3D machine | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
I've only ever owned Anycubic resin machines. The customer support is outstanding. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Many failures regarding the prints sticking to the FEP sheet; though this is user error. Acquired the machine through Eden 3D Printer's online retail store. Good machine for price and quality. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
had no issue so far. this is my first resin printer and had no real issue which was not myself | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
When I changed to the Photon Mono 4k printer I was more than surprised. Very quick printing, almost no nois because of missing ventilation. Not even one failed print yet! The only negative is, print layers (0,05) are more visible than on the OG. But thats fine for me. Very crisp results! | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Affordable printer that can provide excellent prints. Highly recommended for those new to 3D resin printing. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
My first 3D printer and I love it. Not tempted to change up even after a year with it. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
The printer hasn't been bad, it's just happened to be smaller than ended up wanting. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
I've used this mostly for tabletop miniatures. I've done very little calibration. Straight out of the box it's been great and I've used it for 8+ months. Not constantly, but perhaps once or twice a week on average. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Don't like the plastic vat, and the way to replace the Fep bought a metal one | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Very easy printer to use,and the small vat makes resin changes easy. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
For me it is a very good little printer | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Only downside is the vat. I upgraded to a sovol vat which makes replaceing the fep easier. I am over a hundred prints in these are workhorses. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
As a first printer, I've found this to be very easy to use. If someone is looking to dip their toes in without spending a ton of money, it's hard to recommend another printer over this one. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Really good printer for the money. No issues for more than a year. BTW thanks for the encloser heater ) | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Had it for over a year and had no issues from the manufacturers side. Love this machine. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
The main issue is the lack of anti-aliasing, which is useful for some prints, but not all. It's still a cheap, reliable printer. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
The company offers resources which are helpful for solving issues with print quality and print failure. The splicing software has some issues. The window size often does not fit the monitor. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
I got mine for 135$ brand new. It's cheap and the quality is here. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Cheap, with great printing results. The screen could be more responsive and precise. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Fantastic budget buy. Great value for money. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
It is my first 3d printer so my answers are based since i have nothing to compare it to other than my own expectations. I wanted something that could easily print miniatures, and it does, so it's a 1010 in my book... for now. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
loud stepper drivers, but because they aren't constantly running it's ok firmware ignores 2-step lift speed profile on initial layers firmware ignores transition layers firmware ignores light-off-delay setting firmware crashes when file has special characters in name | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
It's fairly easy to use & had just a few issues setting it up & getting it running after unboxing. (Instructions weren't clear how to adjust & run your machine for the first time). Otherwise, the machine seems fairly in good shape & materials. No major issues after around 100H of total printing. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Haven't used it much yet, but what I have done has produced amazing detail for the price point. So far very happy. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Super easy to set up and prints fantasticly straight out of the box. Excellent value as well in black Friday sale. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
More temperature sensitive than I expected. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
It was easy to set up and once I got it leveled I have only had a couple of failures which were my own fault. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Great printer overall, the only things that bother me are the size of the touch screen and the lack of support for anti-aliasing. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Set it up and printed successfully from day 1 without issue or fine tuning (using default lychee slicer settings) | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
This is a good, solid printer for a very low cost. You can't go wrong with this printer. I would, however, like to see enclosure heater, and the vat bay needs to have better, more visible volume markings for people without great eyesight. Of course, you will eventually want to move up to an 8k. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
This is my first resin printer. I have had filament printers in the past. This was a pleasant surprise. The setup is far easier. Quality is infinitely better too. So, I can say for a first printer, I am very impressed. I do get the occasional failures, but overall mostly successes. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Its a great printer for its price, especially for someone beginning with 3d printing like myself, but definitely an entry level unit. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
For a first time printer, it has been a surprisingly easy journey into 3d printing. Down side of this is the increasingly large number of unpainted mini's and rapidly growing amount of dnd ideas to match printed mini's. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Good starter printer but I am looking to upgrade. Had to buy the Wham Bam magnetic build plate kit to make to make getting prints done easier. | Photon Mono 4K | yes |
Love the printer but it's hard to recommend with 8k printers out now and Anycubic support being a total nightmare. | Photon Mono SE | no |
The knurled knob holding the build plate disintegrated within a few weeks. Clearly is cannot tolerate IPA. | Photon Mono SE | yes |
It's a brilliant starter printer. Really sharp details and it can print quickly when dialled in properly. Only downside would be a smaller build plate | Photon Mono SE | yes |
The printer is decent, but was far more difficult than other printers to find resin settings | Photon Mono SE | yes |
They cheapened production later. The first units were well build, second ones used glue instead of screw to hold the lid magnet, the yellow covers seemed to get dirtier than the early builds. After proper lubrication, both of my SE performed perfectly, it's been 3 years and still working very well. | Photon Mono SE | yes |
The printer works fine, but it was unprofessional of Anycubic to silently retire the Sq printer line. I got the printer cheaply, but once any part on it dies, the printer goes with it, as there are no replacement screens or other parts to buy anywhere. Was worth the $100 I spent, but not much more. | Photon Mono SQ | no |
I would recommend, and have done so in the past, the Mono X, but these days I feel it has been superseded by other printers that are easier to use, have much better print quality and I do feel like this printer still has a fair amount of issues related to the software settings etc. | Photon Mono X | no |
Great printer on release but its been beaten by its own successor and from other manufacturers on everything from price to quality. | Photon Mono X | no |
After several upgrades, including fans and new linear rails it prints fine but not as well as it should. | Photon Mono X | no |
Probably has the best way to secure a build plate. It's a bit cheaper than competitors whilst retaining the same quality. I would definitely go for another brand for my next printer for better honesty, anycubic claimed AA works but I have only gotten blur to work. | Photon Mono X | no |
Nice model and to start with reliable. The random layer failure has made me reluctant to pour 20 quids worth of resin in to the vat. I don't like flipping a coin for that much money. So i have been soldiering on with my smaller mono | Photon Mono X | no |
The build plate was warped (had a curve) took an absolute age to find that out. Bought a new plate from Anycubic and the second one was warped (curved). Had to sand the build plate. | Photon Mono X | no |
it is a waste of money with 0 customer support | Photon Mono X | no |
Other printer supposedly handle aa better | Photon Mono X | no |
Even though it's advertised as a 4k printer, it's only half the resolution compared to a smaller 4k printer, due to the screen being twice as large with the same number of pixels. The XY resolution is simply too low, and you will get voxels. No variable speeds and wifi is implemented poorly | Photon Mono X | no |
they need to update there info about this printer so people can have a better user experience | Photon Mono X | no |
Great easy printer but the vat is a deal breaker. | Photon Mono X | no |
60 hrs lifespan of the screen are definitely too low | Photon Mono X | no |
Great reliable printer but the lift off lid can be a hindrance . Overall a great printer | Photon Mono X | yes |
Good and cheap printer. Good Quality for the price. Tank is a bit to small. | Photon Mono X | yes |
When I bought this printer, I didnt know what to expect from Anycubic, but the results I have gotten have been great. I have maxed out the build volume on several occasions and have never really had an issue with it. | Photon Mono X | yes |
I think the biggest problem I have with the mono x is the poor documentation. Thankfully, the community using this printer is so large, it really makes up for what Anycubic skips over in their docs. | Photon Mono X | yes |
First Printer. Great introduction printer for the time. | Photon Mono X | yes |
I bought Anycubic Photon Mono X and Wash and Cure Plus, I use it too little as I print more FDM prints | Photon Mono X | yes |
Good quality printer and prints. Really good price. The thing I like the most is that this machine is available in Colombia via Amazon, and it is super cheap in France via the Anycubic webpage. I don't have to deal with shipping costs and taxes. | Photon Mono X | yes |
I think it was very good so far. It sat unused for half a year and I just printed 2 full plates with no problem. I don't even have the polarization filter glued to the screen. I just sandwiched it between the screen and some tablet protector foil from amazon. | Photon Mono X | yes |
No issues at all with the printer which did surprise a little bit. On the other hand while this is the first resin printer i own i have extensive experience with filament printers including designing and building my own (delta) 7 years ago when you could not just buy parts. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Pretty much my workhorse resin printer, reliable provided I keep it maintainedgreased and | Photon Mono X | yes |
The major problem is that the build plate is not flat from the factory, leading to failed prints right off the bat. You will need to flatten it, usually by sanding on a flat surface, before it is usable. Once this is fixed it prints great every time. | Photon Mono X | yes |
This is my first, and only, 3d printer, so I don't have any experience with other modelsbrand to compare with. However, after a solid day of fine-tuning my print settings, I have been consistently getting prints without failure (unless it's due to my own terrible support set up) for about 8 months. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Easy to maintain and handle, cheap 4k+ printer, failures were always human error. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Good for a begginer, quality seems fine enough for the value, straight forward software, reasonable printing time. | Photon Mono X | yes |
The only reason I didn't rate it any higher on print quality is because there ARE objectively better quality prints available from higher resolution printers in 2023 albeit more expensive units. Build quality is overall great almost perfect but with room for some improvements. | Photon Mono X | yes |
I ended up giving the Mono X away, it was inappropriate for my use case (mechanical prototyping), but it's a good printer and the recipient likes it very much. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Small to medium learning curve at first when it comes to slicing (depending on prior experience), but once established I've found the machine to be very reliable especially considering it's current price point. The z-axis motor noise can be concerning and wish it came with a screen protector. | Photon Mono X | yes |
The print quality is pretty good, portions of the first inch of printing seem underoverexposed (have a gooey outer layer that has to be cleared off) and the elephant's foot issue that makes on-plate printing an unnecessary pain. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Best printer i used yet. Very successful yet big . | Photon Mono X | yes |
Have found it challenging to dial in certain resins but have found one that is really good and consistent. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Decent printer, the quality is ok, the cover is not the best in terms of fit and the warped buildplate was disappointing. Prints well. Firmware-upgrading is confusing. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Might just be my settings, but I tend to need a lot more supports than many presupported models come with and also I find multi-part prints usually don't fit without excessive sanding and filing | Photon Mono X | yes |
The Photon Mono X is a very good printer for that price. | Photon Mono X | yes |
I entered the 3d printing world just a few months ago and I couldn't be happier. The printer is great and the few hiccups I encountered were due to my lack of expericence. Like in everything, there's a learning curve, but with tools such as lychee and UV tools the learning process is much easier. | Photon Mono X | yes |
Better machines available now. Broke very quickly. | Photon Mono X 6K | no |
Briefly? Came bugged, needed a new firmware (not official version)! Build plate wasn't flat, needed sanding or a minute of bottom exposure. | Photon Mono X 6K | no |
The printer is build cheap and has a number of design flaws. I am not sure I can recommend a printer that will not last more then 4 months and die after 40 uses. But it is a cheap entry into resin printing. | Photon Mono X 6K | no |
Anycubic suffers from the typical oversees customer support service qualms. Poor communication and follow-up. I wonder if customer support reps even receive all the support tickets that are submitted. | Photon Mono X 6K | no |
only had it a year used in a shed, the original bath well the thigns fell out so thats why it scored a 6, sloppy design on the bath feet | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
This was my first resin printer. I had a few false starts even after getting help from a friend but once I ironed out the kinks the Mono x 6K has performed well for me. the larger volume was probably not the best choice for a beginner because any failure took that much longer to clean up and resolve | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
When it used to work, it was really good. | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
Despite the issues, it's a decent printer with a large volume. | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
Fantastic printer with consistently good results and minimal failures | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
It's fantastic. I've had very few issues with it. Build plate is fantastic, prints never fail to stick, print quality is amazing. The only time it's ever failed me is when I let it down with poorly slicedsupported files. | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
Decently priced, print quality and build volume is high and runs straight out of the box. | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
As a beginner i was overwhelmed with what to do but found this printer great after a few Google searches to learn best settings and learning how to support better I found it so easy to use | Photon Mono X 6K | yes |
Until firmware update (which should supposedly fix it), it's unusable to me | Photon Mono X2 | no |
after looking on amazon, I found better for less the elegoo mars 2 which is less restrictive, than the photonS with rigid cover and larger printing surface | Photon S | no |
This model is too old to be recommended. Yet, it's good printer. | Photon S | no |
The printer isn't bad but too old. Print quality is also not bad but the build plate is too small and it prints too slow. Besides that, my biggest issue with that printer is the mounting of the build plate. Since it has some kind of "ball joint" and is tightened with only one screw, it get loose. | Photon S | no |
Bit outdated now but THEN it was awesome | Photon S | yes |
It was good, stable printer. The print quality is not so good compare to the modern printers, but reliable. | Photon S | yes |
Solid and Cheap. The lid does not stay open if it's not fully open (This is a problem, since i placed the printer in a cabnet) | Photon S | yes |
Excellent value for money | Photon S | yes |
Good entry level machine, great for its time and still functional though now superseded. | Photon S | yes |
Good printer, bad customer support. | Photon S | yes |
I think it is a better buy to either buy a 4k Printer or wait untill the technology is more developed in later installments, but it is a very good first model. | Photon Ultra | no |
I'm unpleasantly surprised by how quickly the D2 came out after the Ultra. Commercially it is indescent. | Photon Ultra | no |
Right tool for the job. The Ultra has a very narrow utility. Only useful for small highly textured pieces. | Photon Ultra | no |
I would actually recommend the next one the D2 as the Ultra was a Beta product. Seeing how satisfied I am with the Ultra, the D2 is a nobrainer D | Photon Ultra | no |
The hardward is crap, I don't recommand to buy this ! | Photon Ultra | no |
That is my first resin printer and it works like a charm from the start. Only tuning in the resin can be a little bit of a problem because the layers stick very well to the build plate. So flat testprints can be hard to remove when you overexpusure because of the DLP technology. | Photon Ultra | yes |
The only failures I have had have been due to my errors, the printer is great. Wish the USB plug was on the front rather than the side, but this is pretty minor. It's been an excellent first printer. | Photon Ultra | yes |
This was my first 3D printing experience, I've done hundreds of prints and can count the failures on my two hands. I've found the prints to be excellent and the people I've done prints for are amazed with the quality. I think that shows how easy this printer is to use and get great results with. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Dialing in the anti-aliasing is difficult and non-intuitive, but HW setup was quite easy. | Photon Ultra | yes |
This is my second resin printer and I have to say, the only things that I wish it had were auto leveling and faster print speeds. Other than that, I have been very happy with the results of my prints (mostly miniatures for TTRPGs). | Photon Ultra | yes |
I've put 7 on the quality as I am only 4 weeks into the hobby and still trying to get the perfect settings. When the prints are finished, so far the quality is very good. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Workhorse printer only hampered by the small build area. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Small, but mighty. Incredible detail. This printer is noob friendly, as I am a noob and it has so far been friendly to me. Keep in mind, it has one of the smaller print areas so if you want even medium sized prints, this may not be the machine for you. 1010 I would buy again. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Good printer, does what I want. My only concerns with it are just the general things about resin printing in general, not the printer itself. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Works very well with the DLP Anycubic resin | Photon Ultra | yes |
"Good and relliable printer, not much fails with the right temperature'' | Photon Ultra | yes |
Amazing results. My first DLP and I love it! | Photon Ultra | yes |
This printer is excellent, if small and somewhat slow. The only issue I've run into is the Z-Motor, which doesn't seem to be a common issue. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Ist is a brillant little printer. Build area is very small.. print quality is excellent. | Photon Ultra | yes |
This is actually my first 3d printer ever witch might of been a bad idea but it was cheap 225 usd and I was exited about dlp, haven't used it another so if I have a problem I don't know if it's my fault since I'm new or the printers fault case in point a couple times nothing stuck to the build plate | Photon Ultra | yes |
Difficult to find in the UK, I only got one second hand new-in-box from someone who backed the kickstarter. Technically impressive performance, slightly small build area, I can't get over the unexpected loud noise and slowdown from the built in extra build plate movement each cycle beyond set lift. | Photon Ultra | yes |
for my first venture into 3D printing I have found it easy enough to get the hang of. Tho my first vat screen got ruined by my 1st failed print and had to be replaced, and gets damaged easily with failed prints I've noticed.. and wish onoff button was on front instead of backside of the machines. | Photon Ultra | yes |
I have had an excellent experience with the Ultra, but this is after having made some modifications myself (mainly adding a heating unit under the hood and rubber feet to reduce noise). Regardless the Ultra gives good print quality and reproducibility, and is easy to use once settings are tuned | Photon Ultra | yes |
The Ultra is amazing. Though a little tiny. | Photon Ultra | yes |
Great starter resin printer | Photon Zero | yes |
